In Scotland there are not enough senior management roles in
any
sector to justify sector specific or role specific executive
search.
Our specialism is Scotland - across all roles and all sectors
and
it is our knowledge of Scotland which creates our
astonishing
track record of successful appointments from every assignment.
Our advice on where to live, what schools and our advice to spouses repeatedly overcomes the final hurdle of getting the best candidate to move to Scotland. We occasionally operate for clients in other countries who know our service levels and success but it is in the rich mix of varied roles in Scotland and for Scotland that we are best known.
We know where to look and how to attract outstanding people to these roles. We maintain close contact with your preferred candidate and you, the client, throughout all negotiations until the appointment is made.
MacDonald Kinnaird, with no large numbers of staff to feed work to, does not have to chase high volumes of assignments. We prefer to give 100% attention and effort to working with our clients on assignments that are important to them, regardless of salary level.
As a client you will therefore deal exclusively with the Principal of the company as will each and every candidate at every point of contact. This gives you outstanding quality control and the ability to discuss the relative merits of candidates, as they have all been interviewed specifically for this role.
We also choose not to have in-house researchers as no sector in Scotland is large enough. Instead we have a small group of executive search researchers with specialist sector skills whom we call on when required.
WHAT LEVEL DO WE WORK AT?
We help companies all over Scotland with senior roles. That definition is defined by the level in the organisation, not salary level. A senior role in a large organisation will have a 6 figure salary but in smaller companies salary will be below six figures. Our outstanding track record of successful appointments is the same for both because once we accept an assignment we only have one standard of quality and determination to succeed for our client.

These successful assignments range from small private companies across Scotland to the largest PLC's. Our public sector roles include recruiting a specialist NED to the Strategic Board of the Scottish Office. In common with our executive recruitment assignments these tend to be difficult assignments where our client seeks scarce skills
